My husband gave me this beautiful pink miniature rose, a pink rose bush and pink petunias for the garden. He knows how I love pink! I am so blessed to have such a sweet, godly and loving husband. I look forward to many, many more happy years together!!!

I made these little hearts for my pink tree. I was going to make several more, but I was not able to finish them. I also made the larger heart in the first photo. Now, my thoughts are turning to spring decorating!

Now let's see what is going on in the garden. We planted more primroses.

Our hyacinths have bloomed!

Here are some more cheerful blooms for you to enjoy! I just love the smiling faces on these violas, or johnny~jump~ups.

Yesterday we enjoyed a sunny, beautiful, and warm day, perfect for my dear husband to plant the roses I ordered from David Austin Roses. I am so excited, and can hardly wait for them to grow and bloom! They come as bare roots and they all looked so healthy. I ordered three Gertrude Jekyll and received one Queen of Sweden free. They are still shipping to our area until the end of this month so my husband told me to order another pretty pink one. I ordered a Harlow Carr. They have so many beautiful roses it is very difficult to decide. I have several I would like to order next year. Now all I can think about are pretty pink roses blooming in the garden!
Thank you so much for visiting me and for all of your sweet comments! I pray you all are staying well and will enjoy this upcoming weekend.

Dear Paula,
Thank you so much for giving us something pretty to look at! We just ordered a David Austen catalog, and are looking forward to seeing those pretty pictures, too! Isn't it amazing to think of the sheer variety of just one kind of flower. We could have acres and acres of just roses, couldn't we (Time and space allowing, of course!)?
I'm sorry you were sick. I hope you both are better now! I hope you can go on your antiquing trip soon; it sounds delightful.
Love,
Marqueta
Oh Dear Paula!
I am so sad for you and your son to have that nasty flu bug and on your anniversary! Gentleman Farmer and I are still recovering ~ it just knocks the stuffin's out of you!
I do look forward to seeing pictures of the historical town you and hubby plan to visit. Antiqueing is so fun, isn't it?
How sweet of your dear hubby to buy you the miniature rose bush and petunias. Your little hearts for your pink tree just say Valentines and Love!
I haven't been out shopping yet for primroses but yours are beautiful and my sweet Daughter M brought me three for our luncheon the other day.
I just love Hiacinths. They smell heavenly! And the faces on those violas are precious.
David Austin Roses are my absolute favorite rose! One year I planted several along a pathway only to find a few short twigs the next morning! The deer love them, too!
So, I am planning on planting Peonies now ~ I don't think the deer like to eat them!
Thank you for showing us your lovely spring blooms.
Hope the sunshine helps you and your son to feel completely well soon!
Blessings!
Raeann
How pretty everything looks! Glad you are feeling better. Blessings,Kathleen
What a beautiful post! I love Jefferson, TX and used to go often when I lived in East Texas. We even ran in some races there when my kids were growing up. I see your pretty little dollie in the pics! I wish I had a pattern to make one like her. She is so adorable with her big smile!
Hi Paula,
Glad you are feeling better now.So nice to be out working in the garden with color and fragrance.
Take care,
Carolyn
Hi Paula, thanks for sharing your lovely post. My husband and I have visited Jefferson before, and plan to take another trip there before long. It's only about a couple hours from our home. It is a wonderful place to visit, indeed. Your garden flowers are so pretty,I need to get out and dig up some dirt to....have a blessed weekend....

Oh Paula, I am so frustrated for you. I know how long you have been hoping to go to Jefferson. What an awful time to get sick (not that there is ever a time). Well soon on a pretty spring day you will go I know it. I love the roses you got and can just picture them in your garden. So beautiful. So is you valentine tree, very sweet. Love Clarice
Oh dear Paula, what rotten luck to get horrid flu for your anniversary. What a blessing to have such a sweet husband. I'm sure if Jane Austen had known him she would have written him into one of her stories, he sounds such a nice man. Just look at your flowers...what can I say, I'm always amazed at your blooms when so many of us are still looking at brown soil and hoping to see the first buds breaking through. I also have David Austin roses, Gertrude Jekyll is a favourite of mine. All D Austin roses are gorgeous but in England the flower heads grow so large that when it rains the flowers get heavy and can fall off. I will look forward to pics of your wonderful rose bushes, I'm sure they will thrive and bloom all summer.
What beautiful flowers!! I love them.
Dearest Paula,
I'm always excited to read your most recent post!! ;) I was so sad to hear that you and your son were sick on Valentine's day, but I so hope both of you are feeling much better!! You will continue to be in my prayers for a full and speedy recovery. How kind of your husband to give you such a special gift!! I loved musing all of your LOVELY flowers!! How beautiful they are!!! I'm so happy that we have met through the blogging world. Again...I would like to wish you and your husband a bleated Happy Anniversary, may you have many, many more years together. ;)
Many blessings to you and your family for a pleasant weekend.
With Much Love in Jesus,
Miss Jen

I do hope you are quite recovered from the flu. It has certainly been visiting a lot of families! Your garden pictures are just beautiful. Flowers are such a true blessing, aren't they? I'm so sorry you were not able to go to Jefferson, Texas. I have visited that lovely place and stayed in a wonderful bed and breakfast. It was a lovely, memorable vacation!

Hi Paula,
I'm sorry you weren't feeling well on your special day, hopefully you're recovered by now!
Johnny jump ups are such cheerful little flowers! They always make me smile. I have one Gertrude Jekyl growing over my barn (aka storage shed shaped like a barn) and she's one wild thing. But I love her!
Manuela
