Hello sweet friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Independence Day. I spent the weekend dusting the books and bookcases. My, they needed it! We rearranged, too. Today I am sharing a vignette and a new curtain I made for the back door. Dear Madai made the lovely PARIS banner.

Sweet little dear... the bigger one is a planter. I need to put some ivy in it. Dear Clarice gave me the pretty pink rose tray.

I love the pretty colors in this old creamer.

I made this birdie using vintage lace for the wings and collar, an old button, and wool for the strawberry. She is happily perched atop a candlestick!

I found this lovely white linen in my stash for the curtain, and

embellished it with vintage lace, an old hankie and a silk rose.

I also made this journal. I took a recycled composition notebook from Target, and glued scrapbook paper and other pretty papers from sweet Madai for the cover.
Thank you so much for visiting my Rose Cottage today! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week!

Hi Paula, your home always has such prettiness. I really like the little journal you made and the romantic curtain you fashioned from old linens and roses.
Hi Paula,
I was delighted to hear from you again, but then I popped over here to see what was happening and was even more glad. That little bird is so darling and then I saw the curtain. I love the laces and rose, you trimmed it with. You have created some lovely things here in this post today. I love it when people share their talents with others. I think we are all lifted by beauty of every kind.
Thank you so much for the inspiration.
Smiles,
June
Paula, I always enjoy seeing your lovely home! The curtain & journal are truly precious.
Dear Paula,
You've been very busy, my friend! Your nest is looking very well-feathered, indeed! The creamer is very pretty, as well as the bird and her strawberry (I hope she didn't steal it from the garden! ;0) ).
The journal is really pretty. I'm glad you said where you bought the notebook, since I try to buy recycled paper when I can.
Love,
Marqueta
p.s. The word verification is "wilislyt": doesn't that sound like something British?
Paula,
Everything is beautiful! I love the curtain! I enjoy creating things with vintage lace too:).

Hi Paula, I just had to come back over and thank you for that lovely message you left me today. It really made my day. I'm glad you shared about yourself too because I just LOVE getting to know you better. I wanted to tell you how much I love your banner. It is so lovely. And I can't help but notice that you love 'Emma' as much as I do. I even named one of our horses Mr. Knightly.

Hi again Paula,
The roses are Collette ( it's a romantica rose) I really love it. I so hope they do another Emma. I never tire of seeing any adaptations of Jane Austen. Yes I have read Emma, I have actually read all the Jane Austen books. You are so right about it. There is nothing like reading them.
Thank you so much for your dear comment. I love hearing from you.
Smiles,
June
